Through my personal life experiences and dealing with major Life Transitions and the complexities that occur due to loved ones not planning properly I have learned what clients I can be most helpful to. I get the most satisfaction working with clients who share common life experiences and whose beliefs and values align with my personal beliefs and values.

BLENDED FAMILIES

Blended families are growing rapidly in numbers and each scenario brings emotional challenges as well as financial challenges. My own family is a blended family and I know how difficult it can be navigating the complexities associated with blended families, which can be mind numbing since there are so many people involved. When a life transition occurs it is through personal experiences that I am able to help your family navigate the emotional and financial challenges that arise.

SINGLE PARENT FAMILIES

Whether you became a single parent due to the death of a spouse/partner, divorce or unplanned pregnancy, as an individual who shoulders all or most of the day to day responsibilities of raising a child or children, you work hard and you are busy! As with most parents and families, you just cannot find the time to plan for life transitions. That is where I help, I make it simple and convenient to make sure your family and loved ones are protected.

FAMILIES WITH ADOPTED CHILDREN

I was a foster child and adopted at the age of 5 by two phenomenal parents. I have a deep appreciation and fondness for parents who have dedicated their lives to make a better life for a child. Conversely, I have adopted children of my own and i'm blessed to be the legal guardian of my nephew, so I know that side of the parent experience equally as well. Adoption is a major life transition for both the child and the adopting parent(s) and deserves professional planning and guidance as things can get very complex and emotional for families as expected and unexpected life transitions occur.

FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN

The cost of raising a child is steep, however the cost of raising a special needs child is astronomical. Many families with a special-needs child are overwhelmed by the day-to-day care, let alone the struggle to pay for it. Long-term Life Planning is essential to make sure that your child continues to receive the best possible care, even when you can no longer provide the care yourself.

ADULT CAREGIVERS

Caring for a parent or loved one with a physical and/or mental disability is a full-time job and can be extremely emotional. If your parent or loved one did not plan properly for such a life transition things can really get complicated, especially when other family members or loved ones get involved in the decision making. Being an Adult Caregiver requires comprehensive planning for both the caregiver and the special needs adult. I understand all too well the heartache and complexities that the lack of planning can have on families who have a loved one who needs special care.
